Caverion acquires WISAG Automatisierungstechnik to expand German presence

Caverion Germany has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire WISAG Automatisierungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG (WAT) from the WISAG Group. The transaction marks the largest acquisition to date for Caverion’s German operations, adding approximately 170 employees and seven locations to the company's regional footprint.

WAT, which generates an annual turnover of roughly EUR 27 million, focuses on the planning, installation, and maintenance of building management and energy systems. The integration of WAT is intended to support the growth strategy of the Assemblin Caverion Group, which seeks to capitalize on increasing market demand for energy efficiency, decarbonization, and digitized building operations.

Manfred Simmet, CEO of Caverion Germany and Austria, noted that the acquisition brings in-house product expertise and localized market experience. Jörg Friese, head of WAT, stated that the transition would allow for operational continuity for existing customers and partners.

The completion of the acquisition is subject to regulatory clearance by the Bundeskartellamt, the German Federal Cartel Office, and is expected by the end of 2026.
