Caverion renews technical facility management contract with MAX IV Laboratory
Caverion has secured a contract extension to manage technical facilities and provide continuous operational monitoring for the MAX IV research site in Lund.

Caverion has entered into a new agreement to provide technical facility management services for the MAX IV Laboratory in Lund, Sweden. The contract, which took effect on October 1, 2026, continues a professional partnership established in 2021.
Under the terms of the deal, Caverion is tasked with maintaining technical systems and providing 24/7 monitoring to ensure the research facility remains operational. Given the nature of the synchrotron light facility—which is operated by Lund University and utilizes high-intensity X-ray light for materials science—the site requires specific technical standards for availability and safety.
The renewal emphasizes the ongoing role of external service providers in supporting large-scale national research infrastructure. By securing this contract, Caverion remains responsible for the technical performance of the facility, which serves as a center for advanced research in the Nordic region.
