Caverion renews technical facility management contract with MAX IV Laboratory
Caverion has secured a contract extension to provide facility management and 24/7 monitoring for the MAX IV research facility in Sweden.

Caverion has entered into a new agreement to manage technical facility operations at the MAX IV Laboratory in Lund, Sweden. The contract, effective from October 1, 2026, continues a partnership originally established in 2021.
As a national research facility operated by Lund University, MAX IV uses high-intensity X-ray light for molecular materials research. Due to the precision required for these scientific experiments, the facility demands exceptional reliability from its technical infrastructure. Caverion's responsibilities include maintenance, emergency call-out services, and continuous remote monitoring through its dedicated operations center.
The project underscores the role of specialized technical management in high-stakes research environments. According to the facility management team at MAX IV, the ongoing collaboration is essential for preventing operational downtime, with Caverion also tasked with implementing measures to improve the environmental efficiency of the site's technical systems.
