Caverion to build and operate education campus in Vienna
The City of Vienna has selected a consortium including Strabag Real Estate, Hypo Noe, and Caverion Austria for the planning, construction, financing, and operation of the Nordwestbahnhof Education Campus.
A consortium comprising Strabag Real Estate, Hypo Noe, and Caverion Austria has been selected by the City of Vienna for the planning, construction, financing, and execution of the Nordwestbahnhof Education Campus in Vienna. The project will be carried out under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The new campus, designed to accommodate up to 1,600 children, is scheduled for commissioning in the 2028/29 school year. It will be developed on the former Nordwestbahnhof site as part of Vienna's New Educational Facilities Construction Programme (BIENE II).
The campus, spanning 22,752 m2, will house a kindergarten, primary and lower secondary school, a special education school, a music school, sports halls, and therapy rooms. Caverion Austria, alongside Strabag AG, is responsible for the on-time construction of the project on behalf of the consortium.
Caverion's scope includes HVAC and automation systems. Following the facility's opening, Caverion Austria will manage facility management for a 25-year term, covering ongoing operations and technical building services.
