Caverion to Deliver €15 Million Substation for Nebius Data Centre
Caverion Finland has signed an agreement with AI cloud company Nebius for the design and delivery of a substation for Nebius's new data centre in Mäntsälä. The contract is valued at approximately €15 million.
Caverion Finland is strengthening its position in the data centre market by delivering a substation valued at approximately €15 million to AI cloud company Nebius. This new substation will serve Nebius's upcoming 70-megawatt data centre in Mäntsälä, complementing the company's existing 75-megawatt facility.
The substation acts as the data centre's critical connection to the electricity grid, ensuring a safe and uninterrupted power supply. The delivery is scheduled for completion in autumn 2027, a timeline described as fast for data centre projects. Caverion attributes this speed to its in-house expertise and extensive experience in demanding energy and infrastructure projects.
Nebius highlighted Caverion's experience, delivery reliability, and its high-quality, safe execution approach. The company has recently delivered approximately 30 new substations in Finland and completed numerous other technically demanding industrial and infrastructure projects.
Caverion has participated in about ten data centre projects and dozens of other technologically advanced industrial and infrastructure projects. The company has recently supplied two major substations to Nebius, totaling €30 million in value.
