CB Insights has reported on the accuracy of its proprietary 'Funding Window' algorithm, which assesses when a private company is positioned to raise capital. The model functions by benchmarking individual firms against industry peers and tracking historical funding velocity to project future financing events.
The firm cited recent successes, including the funding rounds of Yellow Card and Taktile. Yellow Card secured $40 million in Series D funding in August, while Taktile raised $110 million in a Series C round in June after being flagged by the model. Additional companies currently under observation include Guide Labs, Keycard, and Ellipsis Health.
Predictions are derived from transaction data and comparative benchmarks within the CB Insights platform. The firm states that it will continue to update its projections as market conditions evolve and new funding events are confirmed.
