CBD Fair Guangzhou plans 2027 edition with enhanced global focus

The China (Guangzhou) International Building Decoration Fair (CBD Fair Guangzhou) is setting its sights on the 2027 edition, with plans to enhance industry transformation and global connectivity. The 2026 event, which recently concluded at the Canton Fair Complex, saw a 33.4% year-on-year increase in overseas attendance, with visitors from 147 countries and regions, despite broader market pressures.

The building decoration industry is transitioning from a property-driven growth model to one increasingly shaped by renovation and upgrading needs. While export policy support and growing emerging markets present opportunities, challenges such as early-stage brand globalization, mismatches in supply and procurement, and incomplete service chains persist.

To address these dynamics, CBD Fair Guangzhou is accelerating its transformation into an integrated platform for both domestic and international trade. The 2027 fair aims to feature brands with stronger international competitiveness and will advance its "CBD World-Connect" initiative to attract buyers from emerging markets. The fair seeks to provide year-round, full-chain, and multi-channel services and matchmaking.

The 2027 event will be organized into three core sectors: INTERIOR, focusing on renovation and improved living; EXTERIOR, expanding into outdoor categories and heritage restoration; and MATECH, bringing together international and Chinese players with an emphasis on smart technology and materials. The fair is scheduled to take place from July 8-11, 2027.
