CB&I to manage Kittiwake platform until decommissioning
CB&I's Asset Solutions business has secured a further contract with EnQuest to continue managing the Kittiwake asset in the UK North Sea as Duty Holder through to cessation of production and decommissioning.

CB&I's Asset Solutions business has been awarded a new contract by EnQuest to continue as the Duty Holder for the Kittiwake platform in the UK North Sea. The agreement extends CB&I's responsibilities through the asset's cessation of production (COP) and into the decommissioning phase.
The extended contract signifies CB&I's ongoing role in managing the Kittiwake asset, which it has overseen since 2003. The scope of work now explicitly includes facilitating decommissioning, building upon its experience in late-life asset management.
CB&I pioneered the outsourced duty holder model in 1997. The Kittiwake platform serves as a production hub for several subsea tie-backs in the Greater Kittiwake Area. The company highlights the asset's safety record, exceeding 20 years without a lost time incident (LTI).
The award reinforces CB&I Asset Solutions' market position for outsourced asset operations. The company aims to optimize late-life asset management, extend safe operating life, and ensure cost-effective decommissioning for the Kittiwake platform.
