Celebrity Cruises Opens Bookings for Celebrity Xcite 2028 Caribbean Season

Celebrity Cruises is expanding its Caribbean operations for the 2028-2029 season with the introduction of its sixth Edge Series ship, Celebrity Xcite. Starting in 2028, the vessel will operate seven-night itineraries departing from Miami, covering destinations including St. Thomas, Antigua, and the British Virgin Islands.

The company is also diversifying its regional offerings by introducing its first-ever short-duration sailings on an Edge Series vessel. Celebrity Beyond will provide three-night weekend escapes from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas, marking a shift toward more flexible travel durations for the cruise line. Additionally, Celebrity Silhouette will inaugurate its first full summer season in the Southern Caribbean, focusing on islands such as Barbados, Saint Lucia, and Grenada.

CEO Laura Hodges Bethge stated that the expansion aims to provide more varied options for travelers seeking both short getaways and extended vacations. The 2028-2029 program utilizes four Florida ports to manage the increased volume of itineraries, which include expanded services to the Panama Canal and Western Caribbean.
