Cell Impact to evaluate nanocrystalline titanium forming
Swedish technology firm Cell Impact will test the formability of Japanese nanocrystalline titanium using its proprietary high-velocity forming process for several undisclosed clients.

Cell Impact AB has announced plans to conduct forming tests on Japanese-produced nanocrystalline titanium. The evaluation, requested by a group of undisclosed customers, aims to determine how the material behaves under the company's proprietary high-velocity forming process.
To facilitate the study, Cell Impact has partnered with Toyota Tsusho Corporation to procure a trial coil of the material. Both companies have entered into a non-disclosure agreement to manage the exchange of technical specifications and project findings.
CEO Daniel Vallin stated that the project focuses on gathering manufacturability data. This performance analysis is intended to provide customers with a technical basis to assess the potential for incorporating the material into future industrial applications.
