Cellectis and CELLforCURE Agree on Manufacturing of UCART123 Cell Therapy
Cellectis has entered into a new agreement with CELLforCURE for the cGMP manufacturing of clinical batches of UCART123, a cell therapy targeting hematological malignancies.
Cellectis, a biopharmaceutical company developing immunotherapies based on gene-edited CAR T-cells (UCART), announced a new agreement for the cGMP manufacturing of UCART123 clinical batches.
CELLforCURE, a company within the LFB group and Europe's largest industrial facility for cell therapy production, will implement the cGMP manufacturing processes designed by Cellectis. UCART123 is Cellectis' lead product candidate for treating hematological malignancies, including blood cancers.
The agreement focuses on scaling up the manufacturing processes for UCART123 to meet clinical trial requirements. Cellectis had previously developed and optimized the manufacturing methods for this gene-edited CAR T-cell therapy in-house.
This collaboration aligns with the ongoing development phase to advance UCART123 into clinical studies. CELLforCURE brings its extensive experience in industrial cell therapy manufacturing to ensure a high-quality and reliable production process.
