Cellectis and SESVanderHave partner on sugar beet improvement

Cellectis Plant Sciences has entered into a strategic partnership with SESVanderHave, focusing on the development of improved sugar beet varieties. The agreement aims to utilize Cellectis' proprietary gene editing technology to advance agricultural traits in sugar beet.

Under the terms of the collaboration, Cellectis Plant Sciences will provide SESVanderHave with specifically designed meganucleases. These engineered nucleases are intended to enable targeted modification of the sugar beet genome, thereby accelerating the development of new traits.
