Cellectis Reports 2024 Financial Results and Provides Business Update

On March 13, 2025, Cellectis reported its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2024, along with a business update.

The company expects to present the Phase 1 dataset and late-stage development strategy for UCART22 in the third quarter of 2025. UCART22 has received Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), alongside FDA's Rare Pediatric Disease Designation (RPDD). The European Commission has also granted ODD for UCART22 in Europe.

The ongoing Phase 1 study for UCART20x22, targeting relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (r/r NHL), is expected to provide a readout in late 2025.

Cellectis has three programs under development in collaboration with AstraZeneca. These programs include an allogeneic CAR T therapy for hematological malignancies, an allogeneic CAR T therapy for solid tumors, and an in vivo gene therapy for a genetic disorder.

As of December 31, 2024, Cellectis reported a cash position of $264 million, which the company stated provides a runway into mid-2027. This financial outlook is supported in part by a $140 million equity investment from AstraZeneca.
