Cellectis reports Q1 2021 financial results and clinical pipeline update
Clinical-stage biotech Cellectis highlights ongoing Phase 1 trials and progress in internal manufacturing capabilities alongside its first-quarter financial reporting.
Cellectis ended the first quarter of 2021 with a cash position of $231 million, sufficient to fund operations into 2023. The company’s liquidity was further bolstered in April 2021 through an equity offering that generated an additional $45.5 million in net proceeds.
The company continues to advance three internal Phase 1 dose-escalation clinical trials in the United States, targeting various forms of leukemia and multiple myeloma. Concurrently, Cellectis maintains five active partnerships with Allogene and Servier, focusing on the development of allogeneic CAR-T therapies.
On the manufacturing front, the company has begun preparing starting materials for its UCART product candidates and expects to commence production within 2021. Additionally, Cellectis has entered into a collaboration with Cytovia Therapeutics to develop gene-edited NK and CAR-NK cell therapies.
