Singaporean biotechnology firm CellResearch Corporation has presented new laboratory results demonstrating that its patented PTT-6® active complex significantly enhances hair resilience and scalp health. The company, known for discovering stem cells within the umbilical cord lining, has developed the CALECIM® Professional product line based on PTT-6®, which is rapidly growing in the medical hair and scalp care sector.
Two independent laboratory studies, conducted according to industry standards, provide objective data on hair fiber strength and scalp response to chemical stressors. In mechanical hair testing, treated hair showed a 43% improvement in breakage resistance compared to untreated hair from the same batch. This is significant as hair breakage is cumulative, weakening the hair's structure over time through daily styling and chemical treatments.
In a 28-day study on scalp health, the application of a PTT-6®-based mist reduced redness by 14%, with 100% of participants reporting a soothing effect on irritation. Longer 12-week studies also indicated increased scalp hydration and reduced sensitivity. In vitro models further showed that PTT-6® suppressed inflammatory signals and promoted dermal cell proliferation.
The findings were presented on September 13, 2026, at the Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) Japan in Tokyo.
