Cent Launches Comprehensive Preventive Health Platform in India

Cent, a new Indian healthcare startup, has launched a comprehensive diagnostic protocol aimed at detecting serious conditions such as cardiac disease, cancer, and neurological disorders at their earliest stages. Founded by experienced healthtech and business professionals, the company seeks to differentiate itself in the Indian market, where preventive healthcare has historically been underutilized.

The startup was founded in January 2025 by Shashank ND, co-founder of Practo; Anshul Khandelwal, former CMO of Ola; and Arpit Garg, former Product Head at Lenskart. The founders argue that one-dimensional health checkups, often relying solely on blood tests and marketed as premium packages, are insufficient. Cent offers a single, fixed annual diagnostic protocol priced at ₹27,500 (approximately $325 USD).

The protocol combines multiple imaging modalities, including a roughly 30-minute full-body MRI designed to screen for over 300 conditions. This is supplemented by a cardiac CT scan for artery calcification, an ECG and echocardiogram for assessing heart function, and a DEXA scan for metabolic issues. Mammography is included for women.

"More than 75% of premature deaths in India, and actually globally as well, come down to these four things," stated co-founder Anshul Khandelwal. He emphasized the shift from a focus on longevity to clinical prevention to address the critical issue of life-threatening conditions going undetected.

Cent has secured seed funding, the amount undisclosed but reportedly around $5 million USD. The company currently operates three centers in Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai, with the goal of establishing a dedicated infrastructure for comprehensive preventive healthcare. Cent utilizes its proprietary AI system for data analysis and provides users with risk assessments and action plans.
