Centalion and Komgo Deploy AI Agent for Real-Time Treasury Operations
Commodities trader Centalion Group has implemented an AI agent to accelerate the processing of trade finance instruments. The solution operates on Komgo's platform, reducing processing times significantly.

Centalion Group, one of the world's largest independent commodity trading companies, has deployed an AI agent in collaboration with Komgo, a leading provider of digital trade finance platforms. This new system enables treasury professionals to manage workflows for trade finance instruments and facilities using natural language, while retaining human oversight and approval.
The solution features an AI treasury agent developed by Centalion, leveraging Komgo's Konsole platform via the MCP connector. This integration aims to streamline operations by reducing the need for manual data retrieval and status tracking across disparate systems. The AI agent can now understand instructions and prepare transactions within seconds.
Initial deployments for Centalion's syndicated and off-balance sheet instruments have shown substantial efficiency gains. Processing times for issuance requests have been reduced by approximately 55%, and for amendments by about 80%. The company anticipates that extending this AI capability across its trade finance activities will free up over 60 working days annually, allowing treasury staff to focus on risk management and financing strategy.
Centalion states this implementation demonstrates the potential of agentic AI to remove friction in treasury operations without compromising accountability. Komgo highlights that the system allows corporate treasury teams to build and manage their own AI capabilities on top of a structured and reliable trade finance infrastructure.
