Centricity Secures ₹280 Crore for Wealthtech Platform Expansion

Indian wealthtech startup Centricity has announced a funding round of ₹280 crore (approximately $29 million), led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund. The investment comprises ₹230 crore in equity and ₹50 crore in venture debt, valuing the company at around ₹1,800 crore (about $190 million).

The freshly raised capital is earmarked for strengthening Centricity's technology infrastructure and expanding its B2B2C wealth distribution platform. The funds will also support the growth of its private wealth and non-resident Indian (NRI) client businesses, aiming to deepen its presence both domestically and internationally.

Founded in 2022, Centricity provides wealth management and investment solutions tailored for independent financial advisors, retail investors, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices. Its platform automates key processes such as portfolio consolidation, reporting, and risk analytics for financial professionals.

The company reports managing assets exceeding ₹15,000 crore and serving over 20,000 partners and more than 100,000 investors. For the fiscal year 2025, Centricity reported operating revenue of ₹6.2 crore and a net loss of ₹4.4 crore.

This funding round occurs amidst heightened investor interest in India's burgeoning wealthtech sector, a market projected for significant growth driven by a new generation of digital-first investors.
