Cerbo extends AI documentation tool to telehealth visits

Cerbo, an electronic health record (EHR) provider, has updated its AI Scribe documentation tool to function during virtual patient visits. The system records the clinical conversation and generates a structured draft directly within the patient's digital chart, requiring clinician approval before finalization.

The feature integrates with the company’s native telehealth tools and Zoom. By automating the documentation process, Cerbo aims to reduce the time practitioners spend on administrative tasks after business hours—a common industry practice often referred to as "pajama time."

"The goal is to remove administrative barriers that pull providers away from the patient," said Nishant Phadnis, Chief Product Officer at Cerbo. The system ensures that the clinician retains control by mandating a review and editing process for every generated note before it is committed to the medical record.

Existing users can access the feature immediately within their settings. The tool is included at no additional cost for customers already using Cerbo’s telehealth or Zoom integrations, marking the latest attempt by the company to streamline workflows for independent, cash-pay medical practices.
