Ceva Maintains Lead in Wireless Interface IP Market

Ceva, Inc. has retained its position as the top licensor of wireless interface IP, according to the September 2026 Design IP report from research firm IPnest. With a market share of approximately 68%, Ceva holds a significant lead over competitors in a sector that saw 14% growth in 2025. This market share is roughly 12 times that of the next-largest vendor.

The company’s Ceva-Waves portfolio provides Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, and cellular IoT IP to semiconductor manufacturers. Current estimates indicate that Ceva's wireless IP is integrated into 30% of global Bluetooth-enabled IoT devices and 15% of Wi-Fi-enabled IoT devices. The company is currently scaling its R&D toward Wi-Fi 8 and 5G-Advanced modem subsystems.

Ziv Hammer, Executive Vice President of the Connectivity & Sensing Division at Ceva, stated that the company's wireless portfolio is central to managing data exchange as AI becomes a ubiquitous feature across consumer and industrial devices. By integrating wireless connectivity with its neural processing units, Ceva aims to support 'Physical AI' applications where edge devices perform local inference. Ceva is scheduled to detail these technical roadmaps during upcoming events in Taiwan and China.
