Chad Conway, former Tesla & SPAN Leader, Hired as VP of Product at ConnectDER
ConnectDER, a manufacturer of meter socket adapters for solar, battery, and EV charging, has appointed Chad Conway, formerly of Tesla and SPAN, as its new VP of Product.
ConnectDER, a manufacturer of meter socket adapters (MSAs) used in solar, home battery, and EV charging installations, announced the hiring of Chad Conway as its Vice President of Product. Conway previously held leadership roles at SPAN and Tesla's Energy division.
Conway will oversee product strategy and development for ConnectDER, focusing on advancing the company's hardware solutions, including its IslandDER product line. The company states its MSAs simplify the integration of renewable energy and storage systems, reducing installation time and costs for electricians.
Conway brings 15 years of experience in developing hardware for the clean energy sector. He was a founding team member and Head of Products at SPAN, where he led the development of their smart electric panel. His work there focused on reducing installation complexity and costs for electricians.
Prior to SPAN, Conway spent six years with Tesla's Energy team, contributing to the development and deployment of the Powerwall. His background includes scaling hardware platforms across grid storage, smart panels, and electric vehicles, aiming to accelerate the adoption of these technologies.
