Chalmers University of Technology lists past and current presidents
Chalmers University of Technology has provided details on its leadership, including current president Martin Nilsson Jacobi and his predecessor Stefan Bengtsson.

Gothenburg, Sweden – Chalmers University of Technology has released information on its current and past presidents, outlining a leadership history dating back to 1974.
Martin Nilsson Jacobi, a professor in complex systems with a background in theoretical physics, assumed the role of President and CEO in September 2023. He previously held several academic leadership positions at Chalmers.
He succeeded Stefan Bengtsson, who served as president from 2015 to 2023. Bengtsson is a professor of solid-state electronics and has since become the chairman of Chalmers' board of directors.
Prior to Bengtsson, Karin Markides served as president from 2006 to 2015. A professor of analytical chemistry, she is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Before Markides, Jan-Eric Sundgren was president from 1998 to 2006, specializing in thin film physics.
Bernt Rönnäng led Chalmers Lindholmen University College between 1998 and 2004, playing a key role in establishing Lindholmen Science Park. Anders Sjöberg served as president from 1989 to 1998, preceded by Sven Olving who held the position from 1974 to 1989.
