Chalmers University seeks postdocs in transport and electromobility
Chalmers University of Technology is recruiting post-doctoral researchers to address challenges in transport electrification and future mobility systems. Applications are open until September 2026.

Gothenburg, Sweden – Chalmers University of Technology is launching multiple postdoctoral researcher positions focused on key challenges in transport electrification, infrastructure planning, and energy-efficient transport systems. The recruitment aims to strengthen the research environment for future mobility.
The advertised positions cover a diverse range of research topics. These include projects on trustworthy AI for localization and sensing, 6G radio digital twins for intelligent transport systems and non-terrestrial networks, and AI-driven collaboration focusing on trust and decision-making.
Other areas involve coupled transport-energy modeling, modeling of human-like balance and step recovery, and studies on mobility service usage. Additionally, research opportunities exist in stochastic partial differential equations for transport networks and developing simulation models for climate-neutral waterborne transport. Several specific roles are available with varying application deadlines throughout August 2026.
Selected researchers will contribute to high-impact academic research within an interdisciplinary environment at Chalmers, fostering cross-disciplinary collaborations. The university aims to shape the future of mobility towards more sustainable and efficient solutions. More positions are expected to be announced.
