Changan Automobile announced its August sales figures, reporting a total of 218,800 vehicles delivered. This figure represents a substantial increase compared to the same period last year. The company highlighted a strong performance in its international markets, with overseas deliveries reaching 92,400 units, an increase of 78.6 percent year-over-year.

The company also saw significant growth in new energy vehicle (NEV) sales, delivering 105,000 NEVs, up 22.7 percent from the previous year. Changan stated that its overseas deliveries have now exceeded previous year levels for seven consecutive months, indicating sustained international demand.

Performance varied across its brands. Changan Yuanji led sales with 45,885 vehicles, driven by a 103.1 percent increase in its A and Q series models. Deepal sold 28,659 vehicles, bringing its global cumulative sales to over 947,600. The new Deepal S05 model contributed 17,474 global sales in its first month. Avatr deliveries were 8,082 units.

Changan's main brand accounted for 52,500 deliveries, while Changan Truck delivered 18,400 units, with its overseas segment growing by 29.1 percent. Looking ahead, Changan plans to open pre-orders for the Changan Yuanji Q06 in September and will unveil its "Beidou Tianshu Plan" for intelligent vehicle technology, including the Tianshu Linghang Ultra driver-assistance system.
