Changan Automobile Sales Fell 17.4% in January-June
Chinese automaker Changan Automobile reported that its sales for January-June 2026 decreased by 17.4% year-over-year, while June sales saw a 14.1% decline.

Changan Automobile, a Chinese car manufacturer, announced on July 5 that its sales for the first half of 2026 reached 1,118,894 vehicles, representing a 17.4% decrease compared to the same period last year.
In June 2026, the company sold 201,976 vehicles, marking a 14.1% drop from June 2025. During the same month, Changan Automobile's production also declined by 16.8% to 190,612 units.
For the full first half of 2026, production totaled 1,052,680 units, a decrease of 12.67% year-over-year.
Changan Automobile sold a total of 2.91 million vehicles in the full year 2025, an 8.5% increase and a nine-year high. Its new energy vehicle sales reached 1.109 million, up 51%, and overseas sales grew 18.9% to 637,000 units.
To match its previous year's sales volume, Changan Automobile must sell approximately 1.79 million vehicles in the second half of 2026.
