Changan Deepal Unveils 2027 Deepal L06 with AI Features
Changan Deepal has officially announced the 2027 Deepal L06 sedan, positioned as a 'long-range magnetorheological AI coupe' featuring advanced intelligent systems.
Chinese automaker Changan Deepal has officially unveiled its 2027 Deepal L06 model. The new sedan is positioned as a "long-range magnetorheological AI coupe" and is reported to be equipped with two "lobsters," referring to its advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
Deepal Auto Chairman Deng Chenghao explained that the "lobsters" are an AI Agent and an AI Box. These systems are designed to understand driver intent with a single sentence. The AI Box, developed in collaboration with Intel, utilizes Intel's Core Ultra platform to bring PC-level AI computing power into the vehicle. It can analyze audio and visual data to perceive the environment and anticipate needs, with user data stored locally.
The vehicle's "magnetorheological" designation refers to magnetorheological suspension (MRC) technology. This system can adjust damping forces up to 1000 times per second with millisecond response times. It is significantly faster than traditional CDC suspension systems, providing enhanced vehicle stability and control.
Changan Deepal has not yet announced the specific launch date for the 2027 Deepal L06. The company previously introduced a special edition of the L06, named "Chase the Wind," featuring a track-oriented aerodynamic package, scheduled for release in October. The standard L06, equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems and LiDAR technology, went on sale in November 2025.
