Changan Expands European Lineup and Operations

Chinese automaker Changan Automobile outlined the next phase of its European growth strategy at the Mondial de l'Auto 2026 in Paris. The company introduced the all-new CHANGAN NEVO line and announced plans to broaden its powertrain offerings and further expand local research, development, and customer service operations.

Following the introduction of the CHANGAN DEEPAL line in Europe last year, the NEVO line aims to provide European consumers with a wider choice of products and stronger local support. Changan has already established a European presence with a design center in Turin since 2001 and expanded its R&D capabilities, including in the United Kingdom.

In line with its "In Europe, For Europe" strategy, Changan is building a localized ecosystem encompassing R&D, service, talent, and future manufacturing opportunities. Parts centers in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, along with strengthened technical support and training, are intended to support European customers.

The Mondial de l'Auto show also featured the CHANGAN DEEPAL S05 and S07, with plug-in hybrid versions (PHEV) set to launch soon. The NEVO Q05 is expected to debut in Spain and Italy in the first quarter of 2027. Changan stated its intention for long-term commitment to the European market.
