Chinese memory manufacturer ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) captured a 10% share of the global DRAM market by revenue in the second quarter. The company's market share saw significant growth compared to the previous year.

Chinese memory manufacturer ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) achieved a 10 percent share of the global DRAM market by revenue in the second quarter of 2023, according to data from Counterpoint Research.
This marks a substantial increase from its 4 percent share a year prior and 8 percent in the preceding quarter, positioning CXMT as the fastest-growing supplier in the DRAM sector.
Samsung Electronics maintained its leadership with a 39 percent market share. SK hynix followed with 26 percent, and Micron held 25 percent. The combined share of these top three suppliers decreased from 94 percent to 87 percent during the same period, creating an opportunity for competitors like CXMT, which secured the fourth global position.
CXMT's rise to the fourth spot highlights the increasing influence of Chinese companies in the semiconductor industry and shifts within the global memory market dynamics.
