Chinese DRAM chip maker ChangXin Technology successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's STAR Market on Friday, July 27. The company's stock opened at 49.5 yuan, a 471.59% increase from its IPO price of 8.66 yuan, quickly reaching a market capitalization of over 3.31 trillion yuan and making it the most valuable technology stock on the A-share market.

The successful IPO significantly benefited early investors. Alibaba Group, which invested approximately 7.6 billion yuan for nearly a 5% stake, saw its holding's value soar to over 170 billion yuan on the first day, realizing a paper profit exceeding 160 billion yuan.

Several major banks, including the 'Big Four' state-owned banks and others like China Merchants Bank, were also strategic investors. Their collective holdings were valued at approximately 133 billion yuan by the market close, representing an estimated paper profit of around 124.2 billion yuan on their initial investment of about 7 billion yuan.

Furthermore, Wuhan Yibapai Ling Enterprise Management Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiaomi Technology, also saw substantial gains. The company's stake, acquired for approximately 158 million yuan, was valued at over 894 million yuan by the market close, yielding a profit of approximately 736 million yuan. This translates to a paper profit of nearly 717 million yuan for Xiaomi Chairman Lei Jun.

ChangXin Technology's debut also set multiple A-share records. It became the first tech stock to have an opening market value exceeding 3 trillion yuan, topped the A-share market capitalization rankings, and was the first stock to surpass 100 billion yuan in daily trading volume within its first hour, accompanied by an over 50% turnover rate.
