Chinese technology firm Changxin Technology officially listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's STAR Market (科创板) today, opening at 49.5 RMB per share. The stock experienced a rapid increase of 471.59% shortly after trading commenced.
By the midday trading break, Changxin Technology's market capitalization reached 3.66 trillion RMB (approximately $500 billion USD), making it the highest-valued company on the Chinese A-share market at that moment. This valuation surpassed that of U.S. semiconductor giant Intel, which holds a total market capitalization of approximately $464 billion USD (roughly 3.14 trillion RMB).
Furthermore, Changxin Technology's market value also exceeded that of Tencent Holdings, the largest company listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, which was valued at approximately 3.48 trillion RMB based on current exchange rates. The swift rise in valuation highlights strong investor confidence in China's expanding technology sector.
