Charging Module Manufacturers Announce 15% Price Increase
Four Chinese charging module manufacturers have announced a 15% price hike on their products, effective July 1, 2026. The increase is attributed to rising costs of raw materials essential for EV charging equipment.

Four prominent Chinese manufacturers of charging modules have implemented a 15% price increase across their product lines, effective July 1, 2026. This decision follows significant increases in the cost of upstream raw materials, prompting the companies to adjust prices to ensure continued supply stability.
Charging modules are core components for DC charging equipment used by electric vehicles. The hikes are driven by soaring expenses for materials such as printed circuit boards (PCBs), silicon carbide chips, resistors, capacitors, relays, and metals like copper and silver, which have seen considerable price escalation since early 2026.
The companies issuing the price increase notices are Shenzhen Youyou Green Energy Co., Ltd., Shanghai Ansiboe Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Shijiazhuang Tonghe Electronics Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Yieneng Times Technology Co., Ltd. Several of these firms have confirmed the price adjustments, citing that the rising raw material costs made the increases unavoidable to maintain operations.
One manufacturer indicated that the burgeoning demand for AI applications has strained the supply chain for charging module components. This has led to extended lead times for materials like PCBs, reportedly exceeding 80 days, and difficulties in sourcing silicon carbide chips.
