Chase to add vacation rentals to Sapphire Reserve luxury travel perks
Beginning in January 2027, Chase will integrate over 10,000 vacation homes into its The Edit collection, allowing premium cardholders to apply travel credits to home rentals.

Chase is expanding its travel benefits by including more than 10,000 vacation home properties in its luxury collection, The Edit, starting January 2027. This move allows Chase Sapphire Reserve and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardholders to utilize their annual travel credits on private home stays, complementing the existing selection of over 1,500 luxury hotels.
Unlike standard vacation rentals, properties within The Edit will offer amenities such as a $150 in-stay credit for services like private chefs or airport transfers, provided the booking is for at least four nights. Jason Wynn, CEO of Chase Travel, stated that the decision reflects shifting consumer behaviors, particularly among travelers prioritizing group experiences and multi-generational trips. The properties are curated in partnership with Plum Guide to ensure consistent standards.
This expansion aligns with data from a recent Chase survey indicating that 48% of travelers prioritize rewards when planning vacations. Additionally, the company noted that over half of transactions on its travel platform are now paid with cash rather than points, signaling an effort to capture a larger share of the general travel market beyond loyalty program redemptions.
