Chemometec Revises 2025/26 Financial Outlook Downward

Chemometec A/S, a Danish manufacturer of instruments for cell counting and bioprocessing, has reduced its financial outlook for the 2025/26 fiscal year. The company now anticipates a revenue of DKK 490-520 million, down from its previous forecast of DKK 565-580 million.

The adjustment stems from market conditions in North America, particularly within the cell and gene therapy sector. A US government shutdown in late 2025 and broader economic uncertainty have extended customer decision-making processes, impacting the timing of significant orders. Additionally, the implementation of automation solutions by clients has taken longer than expected due to the complexity of large, global projects.

The company also noted that increased customer interest in its XcytoMatic platform has led to a slowdown in sales of its NC instruments and associated consumables as clients adopt the new technology. However, Chemometec stated that it does not face increased competition in the cell counting automation market and asserts its XcytoMatic products remain competitive.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) are now projected to be between DKK 260-285 million, a decrease from the prior projection of DKK 320-335 million. Founded in 1997, Chemometec is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen.
