Chemotherapy-Free Immunotherapy Combo Approved for Follicular Lymphoma in Australia

Minjuvi® (tafasitamab), in combination with rituximab and lenalidomide, has been listed on the Australian Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). This marks the first and only chemotherapy-free dual-targeted CD19 and CD20 immunotherapy combination regimen available for adults diagnosed with relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma (R/R FL).

The inclusion on the PBS means eligible patients in Australia can now access this treatment at a subsidized cost. Follicular lymphoma is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that can be slow-growing, and achieving remission after initial treatment or managing relapsed disease presents ongoing challenges for patients.

This regimen offers a non-chemotherapy option for individuals for whom conventional treatments may not be suitable or have proven ineffective. Clinical data supporting the application highlighted the combination's efficacy and tolerability in treating R/R FL.
