Chemours Faces Class Action Lawsuit, Investor Deadline Set for December 2026

NEW ORLEANS – Investors are being alerted to a December 7, 2026, deadline to file lead plaintiff applications in a securities class action lawsuit against The Chemours Company. The lawsuit concerns alleged violations of federal securities laws during the period from February 20, 2026, to August 4, 2026.

The case claims that Chemours and certain executives failed to disclose material information. This issue came to light on August 4, 2026, when the company announced its second-quarter financial results and revised its full-year guidance downward. Executives cited inventory buildup in distribution channels and an oversupplied aftermarket as contributing factors to the reduced outlook.

Following this news, Chemours' stock price dropped by approximately 18.63% on August 5, 2026. The company lowered its adjusted EBITDA guidance for the full year to a range of $775 million to $825 million, down from its previous forecast of $800 million to $900 million.

The lawsuit, Darcy v. The Chemours Company, et al., No. 26-cv-01299, is pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. Investors who incurred losses exceeding $100,000 during the specified class period are advised to consult with legal counsel regarding their options.
