Chery Automobile Reports September Sales: Main Brand Exceeds 190,000 Units
Chinese automaker Chery Automobile announced its September sales figures, with its main brand seeing a 17.2% year-on-year increase to 198,681 vehicles sold.

Chery Automobile reported its sales data for September, highlighting a 17.2% year-on-year increase for its core Chery brand, which sold 198,681 vehicles during the month.
The performance varied across its other brands. The Exeed brand experienced a 54.6% decrease in sales, totaling 4,905 vehicles. Jetour brand sales rose by 1.6% to 57,497 units, while the iCAR brand saw a 1.2% increase, selling 10,858 vehicles. The Luxeed brand reported a 36.5% decline, with 5,008 vehicles sold.
Overall, Chery Automobile Group sold 292,308 vehicles in September, marking a 4.2% increase compared to the previous year. For the first three quarters of the year, the group's cumulative sales reached 2,206,789 vehicles, an increase of 9.9%.
The company also noted a significant surge in exports, shipping 207,814 vehicles in September, surpassing 200,000 units for the month and setting a new record for Chinese auto exports. Exports of new energy vehicles saw a substantial rise of 174.0%.
