Chery Group Reports September Vehicle Sales of 292,308, Sets New China Export Record

Chinese automaker Chery Group reported sales of 292,308 vehicles in September, marking a 4.2% increase compared to the same period last year. For the first three quarters of the year, the company's cumulative sales reached 2,206,789 vehicles, a 9.9% rise.
The company achieved a significant milestone in September by exporting 207,814 vehicles. This figure not only surpassed 200,000 units for the month but also established a new record for monthly automobile exports from China.
Chery's export growth has been substantial throughout the year. From January to September, cumulative exports totaled 1,551,178 vehicles, representing a year-over-year increase of 65.6%. Notably, exports of new energy vehicles (NEVs) saw a dramatic surge of 174.0% in September.
Domestically, Chery also saw strong performance in NEVs, selling 133,310 units in September. Year-to-date NEV sales reached 858,524 units, up 46.1% compared to the previous year.
