Chery iCAR V27 Extended Version to Feature 51.2 kWh Battery, 300 km Electric Range
Chery iCAR has announced an extended version of its V27 model, equipped with a 51.2 kWh battery offering a 300 km pure electric range. The new variant is set to launch on September 30.
Chery iCAR has unveiled an extended range variant of its V27 model, which will be equipped with a 51.2 kWh battery. The new configuration utilizes CATL's lithium iron phosphate cells and is reported to deliver a 300 km pure electric range under CLTC standards. The vehicle also supports 6 kW external power output and can charge from 30% to 80% in just 17 minutes.
The extended range V27 will incorporate Chery's "Super Golden Range Extender" system, featuring a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The combined power output of the system is stated as 335 kW. The manufacturer claims that one liter of fuel can generate 3.71 kWh of electricity.
The new variant is scheduled for market launch on September 30. Chery iCAR initially launched the V27 model on March 13. The original V27 is a mid-size, boxy SUV utilizing a 1.5-liter range-extender system. Pricing for the initial models ranged from 169,800 to 196,800 yuan.
Previous versions of the V27 offered a pure electric range of 200-210 km and a total range of 1200-1230 km. The new extended version is expected to enhance these figures.
