Chery iCAR V27 Long-Range Version Launched
Chery iCAR V27's long-range version has been launched in China. The vehicle offers 300km of electric range and new comfort features.
Chinese automaker Chery today launched a long-range version of its iCAR V27 model. The new model is available in two trim levels, with prices ranging from 189,800 to 203,800 yuan (approximately $26,000 to $28,000 USD).
The key upgrade for the model is its electric range, now 300 kilometers, an increase from the previous 210 kilometers. This is powered by a new 51.2 kWh battery pack featuring CATL lithium iron phosphate cells. The battery can charge from 30% to 80% in just 17 minutes. The vehicle's total range with the range extender reaches up to 1300 kilometers.
New features include "zero-gravity" seats for the driver and front passenger. These seats offer electric adjustments, four-way lumbar support, 14 massage points with eight different modes, and an extended, adjustable leg rest.
The vehicle also features a panoramic glass roof and enhanced sound insulation for reduced cabin noise. Safety equipment includes a comprehensive sensor suite, featuring a lidar unit from Hesai, 27 sensors, and a Horizon Robotics chip with 560 TOPS computing power for intelligent driving capabilities.
