Chery Launches 2027 G700 SUV with Huawei's Smart Driving System
Chery has released the 2027 model year G700 SUV, featuring Huawei's Kunlun Smart Driving ADS 5 system. The vehicle offers multiple configurations and enhanced intelligent driving capabilities.
Chinese automaker Chery has launched its 2027 model year G700 SUV, introducing several configurations to the market. The vehicle is available with a limited-time introductory price starting from 304,900 yuan (approximately $41,700 USD), with higher trims reaching up to 422,900 yuan (approximately $57,700 USD).
The key upgrade for the G700 is the integration of Huawei's Kunlun Smart Driving ADS 5 system, which includes a Huawei 896-line LiDAR unit. This technology enables advanced driver-assistance features, such as navigation assistance for both city and highway driving, along with comprehensive parking capabilities. Previously, LiDAR technology was exclusive to higher-end models priced above 400,000 yuan.
On the exterior, the 2027 G700 features refined details including a simpler grille design, a new green body color option, and updated wheel styles. The interior has been enhanced with increased soft-touch material coverage, new interior color schemes, and a 35.4-inch 'sky screen' along with a 15.6-inch central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip.
The G700 continues to be powered by a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid system, delivering a combined output of 665 kW and 1135 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.6 seconds. A new 59.45 kWh battery pack from CATL boosts the pure electric range to over 260 kilometers under CLTC conditions. The vehicle maintains its body-on-frame structure and off-road capabilities, including front and rear differential locks and air suspension.
