Chery's electric vehicle brand iCAR has announced further details for its V27 long range version, with the car scheduled for market launch on September 30. The updated model emphasizes passenger comfort with the inclusion of "zero gravity" seats.
The vehicle boasts a "silent interstellar cabin" equipped with ventilated, heated, and massaging seats, offering 14-way lumbar support. The interior also features a panoramic dual sunroof and a suede headliner, complemented by the largest number of sound-insulated glass panes in its segment.
The V27 long range version is powered by a 51.2 kWh battery pack utilizing CATL's lithium iron phosphate cells. It is rated for a CLTC electric range of 300 km and supports a 6 kW external power output. The fast-charging capability allows the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 17 minutes.
The original iCAR V27, Chery's first mass-produced range-extended SUV, debuted in March. It is characterized by its boxy, rugged design. The vehicle utilizes a 1.5T range-extender system and is available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, with a total combined range exceeding 1200 km.
