Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport X Integrates Electric Power with Combustion Engine

Chevrolet has introduced the new Grand Sport X, building upon the hybrid system initially featured in the 2023 E-Ray. While the E-Ray caused confusion regarding its performance positioning, the Grand Sport X aims to offer a more decidedly sporty package.
The Grand Sport X is not a direct successor to the E-Ray. Chevrolet has implemented significant software tweaks and introduced new drive modes. Additionally, a revised engine is designed to deliver a more aggressive and exciting driving feel.
Keith Badgley, lead development engineer for both the E-Ray and Grand Sport X, commented that some customers did not fully understand the E-Ray's intended purpose. The new model seeks to clarify its role and provide a more performance-focused option.
The Grand Sport X's development highlights the increasing importance of software in enhancing vehicle performance and driving dynamics, merging traditional combustion power with the capabilities of electric assistance.
