Chicken Salad Chick Opens Second Minnesota Location
Fast-casual restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick is expanding its Minnesota footprint with a new location in Maple Grove set to open on November 17.
Chicken Salad Chick will open its second restaurant in Minnesota on November 17, located in the Fountains at Arbor Lakes shopping center in Maple Grove. The expansion follows the company’s push to increase its presence in the Midwest.
The new franchise location is operated by the Coffey family under the entity Starting Five LLC. The family, which includes former NBA players and a WNBA professional, is entering the hospitality sector for the first time. They stated that the brand’s focus on community service and quality offerings aligned with their business goals.
Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick, noted that the Minneapolis market presents significant growth potential due to its demographic and community structure. The restaurant will offer dine-in, carry-out, and catering services.
As part of its market entry, the restaurant is conducting pre-opening fundraising for the Nicholas P. Koenig HERO Foundation, which supports families affected by pediatric cancer.
