Children Rob and Injure Two Women in Chemnitz

In Chemnitz, Germany, a group of seven children allegedly robbed and assaulted two women at two bus stops on Saturday evening. According to police, the perpetrators included six girls around 13 years old and one boy aged nine to eleven. The group reportedly appeared to be intoxicated and aggressive.

The incidents began around 9 p.m. at the Barbarossastraße bus stop, where a 23-year-old woman was waiting for a bus. Police stated the children initially insulted her, leading to an argument. The group then allegedly attacked the woman, striking her and spraying her in the face with pepper spray before stealing her handbag. They then boarded a bus.

The victim contacted her 24-year-old friend, who was waiting at the next stop, Henriettenstraße, for the same bus. When the group disembarked, the friend reportedly retrieved the stolen handbag from one of the children. This led to a further altercation, during which the second woman was also allegedly struck, kicked, and pepper-sprayed. The children then took the woman's smartphone, valued at approximately 1,200 euros, and fled as witnesses intervened.

Emergency services treated both women for minor injuries. Police are investigating the incidents as dangerous bodily harm combined with insult and theft. Authorities have not apprehended the suspects but are gathering witness descriptions and reviewing potential CCTV footage from the bus.
