The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh will premiere a new interactive exhibition, "It's a Beautiful Day to Be You: Inspired by Mister Rogers, Daniel Tiger & Donkey Hodie," on October 3, 2026. The museum is collaborating with Fred Rogers Productions on the project.

The exhibition is funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. as part of an initiative to help children's museums develop programs that foster positive character traits. The goal is to help children discover and explore kindness, curiosity, persistence, creativity, collaboration, and bravery through play.

Drawing inspiration from "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood," "Donkey Hodie," and "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," the exhibit features hands-on activities. Visitors can engage with elements like a "Trolley's Tunnel," a "Kindness Garden" for growing virtual flowers, and a "Spaceship Dance Party" for creating music mixes.

"It's a Beautiful Day to Be You" will be on display at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh from October 3, 2026, to January 7, 2027. Following its run in Pittsburgh, a North American tour is scheduled to begin in January 2027 and extend through 2029. Admission to the exhibit is included with general museum entry.
