China has established a national integrated computing power monitoring system that connects all 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, effectively forming a unified network for resource management. This development is a key step towards a more centralized and coordinated national approach to computing power.

The national computing power platform serves as a comprehensive service hub, currently hosting over 10,000 registered enterprise users and offering more than 2,000 computing products. It supports over 300 large language models and provides services to developers, accumulating billions of data points on computing power usage and status.

"The platform has systematically promoted the network access of 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities nationwide," said He Baohong, Chief Engineer of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. He added that the system enables a unified and efficient monitoring structure, providing clear visibility into national computing power, its operational status, and real-time monitoring, thereby promoting concentrated and coordinated development.

As of June 2023, China's intelligent computing power reached 218.5 EFLOPS, marking a significant 177% year-on-year increase. The country has also developed over 70 network connections linking computing hubs and approved 17 regional nodes for national computing power interoperability, enhancing collaborative capabilities.

Despite rapid growth in computing infrastructure, challenges such as dispersed resource allocation, unclear resource inventory, delayed monitoring, and insufficient cross-regional coordination have persisted. These issues have historically limited the scale and efficiency of computing power utilization.

The new integrated monitoring system provides real-time insights into the national computing power landscape. It aims to activate existing resources, optimize their deployment, and enhance overall efficiency, offering crucial data support for industry regulation, innovation, and policy-making, laying a solid foundation for the national integrated computing power network.
