China Telecom App Enables eSIM Device Number Query
China Telecom has launched a new feature within its app allowing users to query and manage the number of phone lines bound to their eSIM-compatible devices.
China Telecom, a major telecommunications provider in China, has introduced a new functionality in its official mobile application that enables users to check the quantity of phone numbers linked to their eSIM-enabled devices. This feature aims to provide users with greater control and transparency over their mobile subscriptions.
The new "eSIM Phone Number Binding Quantity Query" feature is accessible through the "Service Hall" and "SIM Card Services" sections of the app. Currently, this service is exclusively available for eSIM-compatible mobile devices and does not support number binding information for other device types.
To utilize the query function, users are required to input their 32-digit EID (Electronic Identity Module), their phone number, and a verification code received via SMS. The EID information can be readily obtained by dialing *#06# on the phone's dial pad.
Under the current commercial trial phase, each eSIM phone is permitted to bind a maximum of two active numbers. Furthermore, users can activate no more than two new numbers within any given calendar month. Restrictions also apply to the number of SIM-related operations, such as new line activations or replacements, which are limited to five per month per unique ID, phone number, or EID.
