China has showcased its first humanoid robot designed for hazardous industrial environments, capable of climbing vertical walls and performing complex tasks. The robot was unveiled at the "Intelligent Future - First Exhibition of Application Skills for Intelligent Robots" held in Beijing on July 28.

The robot, described as able to "fly up walls," features a bipedal humanoid form with two arms. It can simultaneously grind with one hand and weld with the other, demonstrating efficient cooperative action. Its capabilities include magnetic climbing for vertical access, integrating large-model intelligence, and is specifically targeted for maintenance on the exterior of large steel structures such as chemical storage tanks, ships, and energy facilities. Operators can remotely control the robot using VR headsets and a manipulator, allowing for immersive operation in dangerous conditions.

Also featured was a robot named "Six-armed Xuanjia." This multi-armed robot is designed to increase productivity by performing several operations at once. Equipped with an intelligent system that understands production processes, it can adapt its six arms to various production lines, simultaneously handling tasks like material loading/unloading, cable connections, and screw assembly with high precision. It is also intended to replace human workers in hazardous occupations.

These robots are developed by Shanghai Saizhi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. The company's website also lists four-armed and two-armed humanoid robots, indicating a broader focus on developing advanced robotic solutions for challenging industrial applications in China.
