ChinaJoy 2026 has opened in Shanghai, integrating the automotive industry, gaming, and AI. The event showcases interactive experiences featuring smart vehicles, gaming content, and IP collaborations.

ChinaJoy 2026 commenced today at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, evolving beyond a traditional gaming exhibition. The event now integrates artificial intelligence, smart hardware, automotive technology, and gaming content to deliver richer offline interactive experiences.
Automaker BYD showcased its vehicles combined with game IPs and anime culture. The company's booth featured custom itasha cars (anime/game-themed), including a Denza Z9 GT based on the classic anime series Future GPX Cyber Formula, and another model inspired by the League of Legends character Ekko. BYD also highlighted its fast-charging systems and ADAS driver assistance technology.
PlayStation's booth focused on immersive experiences, particularly around the popular game Helldivers 2. Visitors could interact with characters in Helldivers costumes and take photos in a sci-fi setting. Playable demos of upcoming PS5 titles were also available.
Kingsoft Games presented a collaboration between its games Goose Goose Duck and JX3, creating a wuxia-themed offline experience with plans for in-game content. Century Games displayed its global game portfolio, including Whiteout Survival and Bennie Kingdom, featuring interactive zones and character encounters.
