The Hollywood production "Odyssey" was filmed entirely with IMAX film cameras, highlighting a significant technical aspect.
For the entirety of 2026, total box office revenues have already surpassed 25.7 billion yuan. The current top five highest-grossing films of the year are "Pegasus 3," "Kung Fu Women's Football," "A Letter to Grandma," "The Eight Immortals!," and "Blade of the Barbarians: The Rise of the Desert."
The summer season saw over 630 million admissions, with daily box office receipts exceeding 100 million yuan for 34 consecutive days. The total number of film screenings during the summer period reached over 93.7 million.
